See the Corporate Headquarters? Bottom line, the money for all Toyota Brands end up going there. Maybe not ALL the money. They do have to pay all the employees (no matter where they work).

I know there are "Operations" all over the globe. But they are all part of the mother company.

I guess I'm just a little biased. My dad has 35 years with Ford Motor Company in Chicago and I am a proud American.

Maybe someday the government will see that Japan is taking over dollar by dollar.

How many Big Ol Ford trucks do you think are sold in Japan?

Toyota makes trucks because fat lazy Americans (how they like to think of us) will buy them up.

Anyway, sorry for my rant.

I worked for Ford for 35 years, also. I'm a proud American. Do I like to see what is happening to this country?

No..and who is to blame..at least as far as the Auto Biz is concerned?

The public?

Nope, the Corporate Executives. They failed to see the Japanese threat back in the early 1970's after what happened during the first gas crunch. With nothing decent to counter the Japanese econo boxes, what did they do?

They countered with their own econo boxes..and they built crap. Who can forget the exploding Pinto's, or the teflon coated cylinder walls of the Chevy Vega, which burned oil from the get go.

When the public had it up to here with these "throwaway" cars, they bought Camrys, Accords, and Altimas.

And they are still buying them today. Once someone finds a reliable car, why change to something else?

People well abuse an americain car in a manner that is normal, for the car from japan, its a gentle car doesint like, the greater things in life, they are good cars, theres a good chunk of um, in the past ford has failed, why I dont know, but they all do. as we progress we will see change some well drop, others well follow. some people dont care what kinda car they buy, cheap some what better on gas, ha. there are just to many imports these day kia, hyunday, mishblishi, ...etc all car are good people expect the ford to be better it fails, cars ussaly dont just break, it was pushed to a limit, for some reason was not able to take the abuse. Fords gona fix all of this they are moving ahead, I want it to be morning so I can start my truck.

If you attempt to hijack a thread again with this... I am not going to ban you, I am personally going to jump on a plane, with my 63 Mini Cooper in my back pocket...
Then drag whatever you tow with your F150 up the hill with aformentioned Mini at atleast twice the speed...

And what will it prove - not a damn thing, but it will make me feel kinda cool that my 44 year old British micro car powered by a measly 1.4l 4 banger can old tow your indestructable F150

None... and why, not because they don't like Fords (the Mustang and the Explorer sell amazingly well there - despite for thier price they are lacklustre vehicles).
Its because Ford doesn't understand the Japanese market (at least they understand it enough not to start trying to sell "Big Ol Ford trucks there).

Both Toyota and Honda on the other hand seem to have more than a reasonable grasp on the American market though...

I can't wait to see a Mini Cooper do a wheelie...it's FWD.

Can a FWD car do a wheelie? Dunno.

OMG! I'm starting to understand what he is actually typing now! I'm to the point of no return.

Big350, when your done pulling that piece of his around, bring that Mini and run my *** over. The disease is spreading, I'm having a herd tyme spelin wordes know!
( Actually instead on finding his posts once humerous they are become more redundent and shall I say, senseless? )

Hey Number, was it you that was going to test drive a Tundra? Have you test drove the new Silverado yet? Reason being I can see your review abit more unbias and easier to understand than the other candidate who said he was going to test drive a Tundra.....

Not driven 'em yet, local Toyota stores haven't any available till Saturday.

I want to see how the 2007's will fit the big guys (over 6' 200 lbs). The previous Tundra's were cramped inside, with no power adjustable pedals available. I hadn't planned on driving a Chevy, maybe I'll try the GMC. The local GMC (ex Olds) dealer is an old fashioned outfit where salesmen don't assault you.....before you get the chance to exit your vehicle!

Does one need sense before one can lose it? Not in this case. Compared to this....Heiroglyphics are childs play!

Freeeeeeed,........now settle down, we ALL went through this.......it will pass, my friend.

May I suggest however, that you lock-up all your firearms (lest you'll shoot yourself) and have the wife hide the key.

No Toyota can not live up to your 1998 F-150? Without the double negative, that means that all Toyotas can live up to your 1998 F-150. How nice of you to admit it.
