How many miles for your original plugs

I just had the plugs changed in my 02 last week, the truck has 110,000 on it. I normally don't bring my trucks in to be worked on, but it also needed to have the AC compressor changed, and I can't work on the AC stuff. I changed the plugs in my 98 myself and it took me 7 or 8 hours. The front two on each bank aren't too bad, but the back four are a NIGHTMARE. I thought it was well worth the $200 I paid to have them changed on my 02. The plugs were wore, and the gap was .075-.090.

Just changed mine today on the 2001 Supercrew 5.4L.
About 76,000 miles...
Definetly not the easiest job I've ever done, but not impossible.
Paid:
$3.25 a plug x 8 (Autolite double platinum).
$~40.00 for a set of new boots.
Plus a few hours of my own labor.
The plug electrodes looked good, but the hex portions were rusty on several of them.
All of them came out fine. Used anti-sieze on the threads and dielectric grease on the tips.

I've got a 97 e150 4.6 cargo van. At 102,000 I started getting a light miss on mild freeway inclines, at 55-65 mph, in O/D. If I cut out the O/D, the miss went away. Everywhere else the engine ran just fine. After a short while of this I got a check engine lite. The code pointed to which cylinder was misfiring. The plugs didn't look too bad but were obviously worn. I did not measure the gap.
The next plug change was at about 89k miles. Unlike the first 102k, these miles were done with the vehicle running at about 1200 lbs over GVRW. Currently I have 222k mi on the van. Still all the original hoses, belts, waterpump, starter etc etc.
It has long had a tick on start up which soon goes away. It burns a qt of 0w-30 synthetic about every 4500 miles. I do have some small drips in the drive.
I've had to replace the rear axles twice due to the load I carry and I just had the front end rebushed.
I get about 27k on a set of front brake pads, just change the rear shoes at 218k, and I get about 55k mi's on Michelens.
For the load this thing carries, it has been an amazing vehicle. Probably the best I've ever owned.

2004 SD with 73k miles
I changed mine myself, took about 4 hours. Not an easy job, but not the worst thing I have ever done.
Mine were not bad, actually looked fairly good, but I can tell a difference in the way it runs now that they are replaced. I'm glad I changed them.
$28 for plugs, labor free. Mileage didnt change, but on a 6000 lb truck, thats not a surprise.
