I was driving down the freeway about 75 and opened my sunroof and it retracked just fine, but when I went to close it it wouldn't budge. The protective sliding door that opens with the sunroof was also stuck.

I managed to get the sliding door lose by pulling gently on it but the sunroof is definately stuck. When I use the controls to try and close the sunroof the motor doesn't make any noise at all, but when I go the other way, trying to open it the motor makes a pulling noise and the sunroof moves a little further in.

Any suggestions.

hmmm, i had this happen once, and it finally started to close, then BOOM, SNAP, THUNK....blew the tracks out.

Took it to the dealer, covered under the ESP and i believe they told me there was a TSB.

 

Sounds like a bad switch.
