I waited 5 weeks and got most of my tools and what not ready in that time. I also downloaded ALL the lift kit instructions and printed them out and studied them on the toilet at work.
I am 100% glad that I got the jump on the instructions.
Now go out there and Party On!!!!!

I've worked in Internet automotive performance sells before, and I can vouch for the frustration that comes from a back ordered part. It can be as simple as something a local machine shop can't get done, to waiting on something from overseas.
And I can say for sure for Icon, our online ordering system had to place a hold on the card when you Placed the online order. That hold could stay on for 5 days before the bank automatically released it, possibly more. Nowe, we had to actually process and charge each order. And we would ship what we could and charge for those items. The only time we might charge with backorder is for a custom item, that was not on our catalog.
If you want it, I would say wait, as a compromise probably won't make you happy. But if it has to be done, then call them up, they should be willing to refund the money. We always tried to list items as back ordered as soon as possible. No one is ever happy to find out its back ordered after the fact.

After giving it some more thought this AM I decided to wait it out.....I have plenty of smaller projects I can work on until it shows up..
As high end and expensive as the Icon kit is I suspect it *might* not be a stocked item....It will more than likely drop ship direct from Icon..

.... Go to Fab Techs web site. Look at what I am talking about. Also, Is your truck a 2007 and older? They sit about a inch higher. On the 8" kit that I just installed I did get 9" of lift.

What are you doing for an antenna? I have a K40 on my truck that's a magnet mount and I'm tired of looking at the ugly base every time I walk by my truck.

If you look dead center just above the 3rd brake light that is where the 2m antenna is.. The monster whip mounted on the tool box is for CB and 10m.....When I'm not running back and forth to Scranton for work I pull the whip off..
I'll take a better pic tonight with everything mounted on the '11..
