97 7.3 --5spd ZF trans i got it disassembled and new bearings put inand new input shaft etc.. how do ya get the shift rail;s back in th front half of th tranny

 

Wow....you've got bigger stones than I do ripping a ZF apart.

The main and counter shafts....shift rails, forks, ....everything are assembled on a bench and end loaded as an assembly into the case.

I'm not even sure if it's possible to load the case a piece at a time, but I sure hope you figure out a way.

 

yeah ditto what cookie said i theres a jig that holds the thing togethor to get it back in the case. im not sure if it can get done without it.
