Tires? 31x10.5R15 or 33x10.5R15

Hi all, I currently have Goodyear wrangler RT/S 31x10.5 R15 on my 95 Bronco XLT and they need to be replaced soon but my buddy is selling a set of 4 BF Goodrich 33x10.5 R15 all terrain with about 4k on them (his truck is DOA) for a good price.

I could use some feedback on the Pros and Cons of the 33's I use this truck for everyday use, Right now I don't go 4 wheelin but I may take it on the beach a few times and I would need them for snow as well.

The BF Goodrich all terrain Tires are some of the best tires out there (in my opinion and many other 4x4 owners) and 33's will work on a stock bronco but if you get into some heavy stuff they may rub. It sounds like a good deal to me. If the price is right I would jump on it

33's would be fine, you may notice a little bit more of doggyness off the line, but top end will be faster with less revs.

I put 35's on my 88 with no lift, you can make them fit . The'll rub your radius arms, and you might rub the fenders if you doing some extreme stuffing, but I bet youll be fine.

you will have to shim out your front bumper and remove that plastic piece from the bottom of the bumper. you never said what motor you have in there, just know that it will be a dog to some degree and you mpg will suffer some. will look nice though for sure. and when on the beach just use 4lo

Kemi, I have the 5.8 EFI, Looks like I may pass on these tires If I'm going to get less mpg's. Now that the election is over, gas is already going up here in NY

well your engine has to work a little bit harder to spin them, hence the lower mpg. Keeping your foot outa it will help alot though.

well since you have the 5.8 dont worry about it. honestly i run 35's with stock 3.55 gears and a 5.8 and only lost 1-2mpg around town. the torque of that motor helps alot and wont require as much peddle as the 5.0 would. just ease into the throttle at lights/stop signs and you will be fine. If you have some cash to upgrade to 4.10 gears front and rear that would put you back to a stock tire/gear setup and would probably increase mileage over your current setup.

Just to add a bit of info......you can also purchase a set of air bags for the front coil springs which will keep the tires from rubbing excessively on the radius arm. They are easy to install and if you like the bigger tires thats just another way to go.

more lift wont cure radius arm scrub, and those air bags are just like lift springs, they throw your camber out of whack.
