351M .040 over Head Gaskets?!!

Hey all, ok, head gaskets were blown/burnt between #3 and #4 and close to doing it on #7 and #8, have it apart, cleaned up, ready to go back together, gasket kit says for only .030 .... or a bore of 4.030 well, I am at .040, could this have been the problem in the first place as to why they got hot and burned through? and does any one know who makes a head gasket/upper end gasket set for .040 and above?!

Try these! They are Ford Performance head gaskets, with a flattened wire ring to help prevent burnout between cylinders.

The other thing that you need is a Robertshaw Thermostat. Auto store replacement thermostats prevent coolant from getting to the rear cylinders, so those cylinders run hot.
