You can't do this to us - it is just plain mean. It is unfair to tease us this way.

You have to post some pictures!!!!!!

See my post above - it is just mean to tease us with talk about new performance parts, and not post photos. You didn't even tell us what truck the parts are going in!

Anyway, welcome back!

I drove my '01 4x2 Screw today, does that count? Oh, and it's gonna need new front brake pads pretty soon. If it turns out interesting, I'll let ya know.

The last couple of things-
1) Installed two peices of plywood under the tonneau cover up on the rails so that I could get a smooth look under the tonneau now.
2) Wired up the truck for towing.

You have built something totally unique - they didn't look this good when they were new!

Thank you Clint ... I guess that was for me. She's not done yet.

I just need more cash / time, as we all do.

She is being used as a truck should be too. She's been hauling mountain bikes, lumber, boat and trash trailers so far. Rodholder has yet to see a fishing trip this year though.
I'll have to give her a break soon so that she and I can do some R & R. LOL

Yes it was for you - and I have been trying to get someone to go to the Delta fishing with me - I want to hit the ship canal and catch a whale!

Let's see over the weekend I:

Got the Falcon Conv running. It just needed a new battery and starter solonoid.

Changed about $250 worth of fluids in the truck. Rear gear oil and friction modifier, trans ATF, Xfer case ATF, steering ATF, and brake fluid.

Funny that my truck has 3 seperate systems that use ATF but it's a stick !

Oh yeah, got MAD MAX the desert buggy running again as well. Now all my vehicles actually work at the same time. Hard to believe.

You got Mad Max ready to go play? Maybe by late June or early July we will have ThumperRoo ready to go and we can play together.

Yeah, it's pretty much ready to play. I need to get some new seat covers and rebuild the king pins in the front, but I already ordered the rebuild kit for the king pins. I have a buddy who lives in Reno and is going to pick up some seat covers at Summit Racing for me.

For those who don't know MAD MAX:

You coud go to Reno and pick them up yourself - the area around Reno is a huge playground, and we have several members who live nearby. Be a fun outing for a long weekend!

Oh I know the fun around Reno. Moon Rocks is where the pic was taken. We usually end up at Blue Lakes near OldFordNStone's place. I just need to figure out where I can make time to get away. I had my first weekend off in months this past weekend. Now my best customer wants about $17,000 in parts each week for the next 4 weeks. For a two man shop that is really a lot of hours. Yikes.

Let's see...I rebuilt the front end on my '68, using one-ton I-beams and new polyurethane bushings. I also converted from a Bendix P/S box to a Saginaw and the ol' beast now tracks better than it has since I've had it (as tested in the "Long Trip Home" thread.)

BTW Andy, I finally got down to Oakland on Monday and picked up the boat parts from my buddy Steve. Thanks again...
