I just got back from Charlie elliot wildlife center. A few of the roads are freshly scraped so it is a little muddy. I did fine with my longbed with sixties on the back but it is slick. If we have it there be cautious if you own a 2 wheel drive. If you don't stop till you get past the slick stuff and use common sense you should be ok. Maybe they will spread more gravel by the time we have our meet. I will try to check road conditions just before the meet to let everyone know so they can be prepared.

I am gonna start cutting more wood in the next few days. I will try to bring a pickup load so we can enjoy a fire or maybe even a few.

IMO this is a great place if you like the outdoors. The camping is primitive but they have picnic tables and fire rings at the campsites. Not too far from the campsites they have a covered picnic area. It is heavily wooded in places and has close to twenty ponds. They have a multiuse trail for hiking, horseback riding and bicycling.

Remember this is a suggestion. These plans will not be set in stone til I get some input from you all.

3bc I know you will like it. Me and my wife saw about a dozen wild turkeys there this morning. It does not have all the amenitees of a state park but it has lots more amenities than a national forest.
