I am no expert by any means, I had a truck (5 ton) in Iraq that did the same thing and the the wheel bearing went bad/loose. I would try to rock the truck on the bad side rocking it left to right, not front to back and listen for a clunk sound or just jack it up and wriggle it then. You will know it when you hear it
Good luck

How many miles on the truck & steering parts if known?
2 or 4 wheel drive?
Sounds like ball joints or tierod ends too. It helps to have another person with this.
Raise the tires off the ground. Grab the tires top and bottom and see if there is excessive movement in the ball joints. Now grab the tires front and rear, look for movement in the tierod ends. Someone is looking while someone is moving the tires.
