1996 Psd??
Hey guys!!
I currently have a 1987 F250 with a 6.9L and love it! I am thinking of doing a D60 front, a ZF swap... and a few other cool things too....
I was looking around locally today and found a 1996 F350 7.3 5 speed... It has 200 000 miles on it and is priced at just under $7000 OBO....
I figure that I can sell the 87 for about $2000, which is exactly how much I have into it... I figure by the time I put a 60 in the front, a 5 speed trans, fix the rust and paint it... its going to be around the $5000 mark all said and done properly... and I still dont have a turbo....
I really know very little about the PSD to be honest... any advice for me???
Thanks guys!!!
Bob

I do love the IDI...But A friend of mine will buy it from me in a heart beat.... here are 3 really good reasons for me to consider the '96:
1) the 5 speed... 65 MPH at 2700 RPMs make the 4 speed... well ... lame!
2) solid axle D60.... way better than D44 TTB
3) turbo
I was a little intmidated by the IDI at first to be honest... I am an automotive tech, but work 99% on gas..... but I really like how simple it is, and how cheap it all is to fix.... its grown on me....
The PSD is just one more level of intimidation for me I guess....
