4.6L cams

hi, i was thinking about ordering a set of cams for my 4.6L sohc. what i was wondeing is if the cam gears on the stock cams are pressed, or bolted on?

Either way, most companies recommend new gears. From the pictures I would think bolted on with an indexing pin.

They are bolted on with a keyway to locate them.

They very well may be pressed on. The windsor motors had pressed on cam gears where as the Romeo motors have bolt on cam gears. You would have to buy a set of bolt on cam gears to swap cams.

Thanks for the help guys. im gonna be porting the heads soon, and port matching the intake, putting on headers and full exaust, machining a bigger throttle body and machining the intake to match, throwing an ac bypass pulley on and getting rid of the clutch fan real soon, would love go top it all off with a set of cams. i was just wondering about the cam gears because i want to make sure i have everything ready to go when i start. thanks again.
