Turn signal, emerg. flasher fuses keep blowing
This just developed this afternoon - the fuses that control the turn signals and the emergency flashers keep blowing. I replaced them and the new ones were blown before too long (several minutes, not instantly).
I washed the truck this afternoon, but it sat for a couple of hours (in the Texas heat) before I went to town. I'm not sure if the light bulbs got wet (maybe there is a leak somewhere?), but that is the first thing I'm going to check when I get home. Any other ideas? It sounds like a short somewhere, but I"m not sure where. The truck is a 1970 F-100.
By the way - the fusable link between the alternator and the solenoid had corroded through (no visible breaks in the insulation). That was what was causing the charging problem I had a couple of weeks ago.

I had the same problem with my pickup. What was happening was the clutch pedal was rubbing on the wiring harness and had rubbed through causing a short. I went throught fuses like you can believe until I found that problem then everything has worked fine.
