348rwhp / 700ft-lbs Dyno Today...
Well, since I still haven't gotten my Turbo Trans Am back together, I decided to have some fun and dyno the truck today at one of the local speed shops who were having a dyno day today.
Truck layed down 348rwhp and 700ft-lbs at the wheels. This was through the big 37" Parnelli Jones's too. Truck barely fit on the dyno width wise. Hehe,..
For those of you wondering the mods to the truck are as follows:
- Homemade air intake ( aka Tymar )
- DP-Tuner "Econo" tune
- Stock exhaust straight piped
Truck has 220k miles on it so I'm fairly please. I have a 4" turbo back exhaust ready to go on the truck, just have to get around to getting it on there. I'm interested to see how much it picks up with the exhaust.
It was funny that a big 4x4 truck layed down the biggest torque number of the day. Biggest HP number went to a big-block Camaro drag car.

Big torque to move a big truck! You got 700 with only those mods? Jody claims his 'Econo' mode makes 80hp and 150lb-ft of torque more than stock. Since Ford says your f250 only makes 500 at the crank, which, with the usual driveline losses normally amounts to a lot less than 500, jumping it to 700 means a HUGE increase. Your rear wheel power is 40% higher than the claimed stock crankshaft power. That's amazing!

Yeah, I've also heard that Jody is a little "humble" with his ratings though... Hehe,...either way, he's da man!
It wasn't a fluke pull either since on the one right before it she made 340rwhp and 682ft-lbs.
This was making the pulls in 3rd gear with O/D off. Getting the RPMs to about 1000-1100, then putting it to the floor, pulling up to 3300.
