I have a 2004 F-150 Heritage 2wd with 4.2L auto tranny.

I was wondering if this series of trucks from ford has the 8.8 rear? I am thinking about upgrading gears and was wondering if I am looking at the right ones?

Yes, The 4.2L and 4.6L have the 8.8 rearend. The 5.4L trucks have the 9.75. Then the Superduties have a 10.25 rearend.
