Blend Door...To Change or Not To Change?

Blend Door...To Change or Not To Change?
I just got back from the dealer and they said the blend door and actuator needed to be changed for my A/C to work....I have installed radios and **** but shoul;d i even attempt to change these parts myself...The parts are $52 for the blend door and $84 for the actuator....The whole job can be done by the dealer for like $850...

I had MOST of my dash in the back seat and STILL could not get the Unit out... Ended up putting it all back together... a good smack gets it working for now... Maybe when I have LOTS of time on my hands I'll try again...
Short version... It aint easy and may be worth the $$ to avoid wanting to blow up the truck from frustration
