I pull more then 12k in tow mode with my horse trailer and with my flatbed trailer. I have a 4 horse steel gooseneck that I pull just about every week and I pull two different types of flatbeds(although one is less then what your asking for), one of which is an all steel 20ft that I had maxed out at 14k with 44 trees(doesnt sound like a lot but 8-10 ft southern magnolia's weigh a few lbs. I use the bullydog triple dog tuner, and I haven't had an issue come up yet when I was pulling in tow mode and I do alot of horse shows back home in Dallas and i'm coming from Franklin, Tn so thats a few miles.

I have the 06 6.0l diesel. You also have to keep in mine that my truck is also a dually, so we are talking more strain with those type of modifications on the truck, since my truck weighs a bit more then the usuall ones that have had performance modifications done for loads of horsepower. The thing you want to keep in mine with this is not to try to squeal tires as you pull a trailer from a stop at the light, that will ruin your truck, even if you aren't pullin anythin, especially for me so I have all that extra weight. However, as conservative as I am with the pedal, especially when towing, I haven't had anything other then just the normal maintance on the truck done, and nothing has redlined on me(as far as temps go, my truck is also an auto, so I have to watch that temp guage as well) and nothing has broken down on me(keeping fingers crossed).
