Post body parts for 1972 f-250 ?

I recently purchased a 1972 f-250 4wd. The lower rear part of the front fender is rusting and the bed floor also is rusty. My question is , that I found a 1972 ranger xlt 2wd not running , but the body is in great shape. Will these body parts (front fenders, and bed) be an exact swap? I hope so becasue this truck is only one mile away from my house. Also would like to know if anybody knows if I can change the rear main seal without pulling the motor or tranny. Would appreciate any help with these 2 quetsions. I just discovered this site only a week ago and think its great. Ray

Hey Ray--

Welcome to the site. Yes, your parts are a direct bolt up. Only a few minor changes occured outside from 67-72, they were mostly trim pieces. As for the rear main seal...here's the scoop. You can change it without pulling either, but the tranny has to slide back.
1. Pull the driveshaft.
2. Unbolt the tranny and slide it back, but make sure it stays on the crossmember.
3. Unbolt the flywheel.
4. You should now see the rear seal.

Hope it helps, let me know if you need anything else.

Ken
