I have not used Telysdyne, but I use Diesel Kleen, gray bottle in every tank. With it I get 18-19 mpg, without it I get 15-17, so I run it.

Hey pretty GT2, Is that a maunual or a auto your running there?"
Ive got a f350 cc 4x4 w/ a 4.10 rear auto, most of the time I get 18-17 but I've gotten 20 few times I also have big wind block of a camper shell on back and my truck's dry wheight is 8600 # so
I dont think that is tooo bad, I would love to put a new trany in and get better mpg!!

Running an Auto, I leave the five speed for the mustang! But it only gets 20 'course it's not realy close to stock anymore so I was really impressed when my truck which weighs double gets about the same mileage!!

WOW. My baby runs an average 13-15mpg at 65-70mph but over that requires very little movement on the concrete. I have a Tymar intake coupled with the turbine output pipe open all the way back, kittyless to a Magnaflow muffler. I guess with 4:10's in the rear pumpkin and 33" tires it could contribute to the mileage. I dont run gauges but I am intune to how she runs. Oh yeah, she is a 96' F250 SC 4x4 longbed. Is there anything else that I can try to maybe get the mileage up without drastic measures that costs alot of money? Thanks

14-17 with 4.10 rear and 33's.
i believe if i had a 3.55 rear 20's would be very easy to obtain at fwy speeds.

it might even be doing better now that i'm running b99. got to drive it some more though before i calculate.

Talking

20 is definately possible. If I keep my foot out of mine, it will bang 20 and sometimes 21. This is interstate mileage. In town it is down around 15. 305's and 3.55 gears are under it. I am running Power Service in the white bottle.

I get 14-16 with 4.10s all stock 210,000K 20k on new trans, however I run 75-80 hiway (2600rpm).
I'd love to know how to better that.
Got a friend with the identical truck 97 with 3.55s, he claims 20mpg (I dont believe it).
did removing cat really make any diff?
Does any additive really make a diff? and does the cost of the additive negate any positive?

Well guys i get 21.5 to 22 on highway if i keep it under 70 have a stick 3.55's and no kat muff and tymar and scmt on highest setting if i remove it i go down to 19 mpg and it feels like a dog. I remember when it felt like a power monster when it was new and had nothing to compare too. 150,000 on it and its a animal will run up to max prm in od so near 135 at 3600 rpms. i love to make them chebbies feel the thunder. lol

Maybe that's why I got 20, the cat "accidentally" fell out when we were replacing the tranny. But that was 20 with stop and go out in the country driving but mainly under 65 mph. Other than that, the truck is stock- for now

Well, I just ran a trip of about 1000 miles and I was running 70-75 mph with A/C on and I averaged 17.5 MPG. My truck has 287K on it.
