I did a search on here but didn't find anything. I have a 97 expedtion with the stock "premium sound" system (I believe it's made by clarion for ford) and the cd cartridge is stuck in the changer. The #1 disc seems to be stuck. When I hit CD it says NO DISC on the deck. I can hear it trying to eject when I hit the eject button but the #1 disc appears to be about 1/2 way in there. I've tried unhooking the battery for a while but it didn't work.

Any suggestions short of me losing my temper and ripping the whole changer out of the console.

Sorry to say it but you're going to have to remove the changer. I used to work for the Ford Radio Warranty department and that was a common thing for those changers.

I suggest you call KELVIN at BROADWAY RADIO SHOP. Tell him Travis O'Brien sent ya. He can either give you a few pointers or they can take care of you on repairs or replacement. Thier number is 816-868-2481
