Captchas,
Do you have the name of the Gibson seller on ebay? Also, I have a 99 V10. Do all V10s have the egr or not?

Thanks,
Nate

My 2003 has no EGR

Nate if you have a "smog check" program where you live, make sure the headers you purchase are smog legal.

Antelope V-10,
Good thinking. I think I will call my mechanic tomarrow and see what is legal/illegal. I live in PA where the sniffer and emission check just started up a couple years ago.

I would have bought headers, but the Dyno figures are not that good to justify spending the money.

Yup, I'm only going to put headers in when I already have the exhaust manifolds off, for whatever reason

Im still looking for the "right" headers. The power pack is tempting. Where is a good place to buy ford racing headers...the dealer? Also, can I just put headers on the truck and see some change? I dont feel that I need the intake - how restrictive is the stock unit? I have a K&N air filter in it right now. As for exhaust, the only thing I'd change someday is the y-pipe and muffler. Do you think that just adding headers is a good idea? Thanks all.

You will get much more bang for the buck with a perfect "y" and save the money you would have spent on the headers.

If you want to go the header route, which I think is a good idea, I would go with Banks or Borla since they provide a replacement y-pipe. Gibson, JBA, Ford racing, and the e-bay knock off's, use the stock y-pipe, which is the main problem of the stock exhaust system. I think a header and y-pipe would be a good upgrade.

RVers seem to love the Gibson stuff. I have the full motorhome kit(headers-3in exhaust) on mine and it all appears to be good quality stuff. I cant comment on the power increase, as i purchased the unit as is.

Ive had my share of junk headers for other cars and Gibson quality is good.
