impression of dodge

just thought i would throw this out for whatever it's worth. i drove a 2002 dodge this last week (spring break) to new orleans (from NW ohio) with a aerolite bumper pull trailer. i thought it did a good job for being a small (4.8 i think) V8. it pulls much better at higher mph say 80 then it does at 65-70. gas milage was more like gallons per mile and less like MPG. i think we averaged 6 most of the time and 8 some of the trip.

we also had another cummins in our group, but the fuel pump went out of it on the way down, and it was stuck for 2 days at a dealer. i had the privilage of ribbing him all week about that.

all in all a good trip, i just wished we could have taken some hp and bigger gas tank along so we wouldn't have had to stop for gas every 170 to 180 miles and take on 20-21 gal. of gas.

we gutted houses.

Pulling a trailer at 80+ is gonna result in bad mileage in all the small V8's offered by any brand.
