how to install driving lights behind grill

I have a 2001 F150 single cab and was wondering how to install a set of driving/fog lights behind the grill. it has the factory grill.

If I have time in the next couple of days I'll take some pics of the mounts I fabricated for ya.

It's pretty simple. Does it have the mesh style grill rather than the bar style grill? If they are fairly lightweight you can mount them to the thick fiberglass support that runs just behind the top of the grill(you'll see it if you remove the radiator cover). Just measure and drill some holes. It's pretty sturdy, that's how I have mine set up and have had no problems with vibrations or bouncing, just get some big washers for top and bottom. If your going with some big heavy metals ones I'd fab up some brackets to come off the rad. support.

For this location go with the driving lights, the location is up high and will have them fairly close together which is optimal for driving lights. Also with fogs mounted here you will lose more light from the grill as they have a much wider spread. For fogs you want them low and spread apart. Driving lights are for use with high beams, fog lights are for low beams (just to clarify). This goes double in Tx as that's how our laws are written. Also, by law fogs may be mounted from 12-30 in. high, making it basically impossible to mount them in the grill legally (unless your trucks lowered several inches).

Thats exactly what i did was to have a bracket bolted to the rad support and bridge it across to the upper grill support and used big washers to give it nice stability. Worked really well for me.
