Thanks everyone
I want to pass on my apreciation to all in this forum. This is my first posting since joining this AM having read this forum for at least 6 months.
I have recently purchase my 3rd Super Duty 4x4 since 1999. (1999 F-250 XLT C/C V8, 2001 F-250C/C XLT V-10 and finally an '06 F-350 XLT C/C V10 4:30 rear) As all of you realize this is truely a BSEG truck. It was hard finding a F-250 around here with the V-10 so I decided to step it up a notch. Each of my previous two S/D's went well over 125K with little or no repair. I expect the same or more out of the new 3 valve. I would also like to extend special thanks to Fredvon4, Wench, Captchas, 10strokin and a few other for curing me over the last several months of temporary insanity for briefly thinking about a 6.0 PSD in my search for a replacement vehicle. Oh, by the way 12mpg off the dealers lot in mixed driving but who the hell's counting, I didn't buy nor want a Prius.
Thanks again guys,
Mark

Congrats!
You got the right gearing. Just don't let the power and performance of the motor/drive train lull you into complacancy while driving. Remember,
you still have a 7000# vehical which is nearly like 2 smaller cars put together, so plan ahead as much as you can before stops to avoid the panic stuff, and try to refraine from jackrabbit starts, unless it is a dodge or chevy in the next lane. No body's going to blow your doors off if don't want them to. That 3 valve V-10 with the 4.30 gearing is king. BSEG's back at ya!

You listened to Wench's advice. Man I wouldn't listen to her. That old hag is crazier than a sh**house rat.
Take care and congratulations on your new SD V10. I hope you enjoy it for many years to come and it seems to me that most V10 owners buy these trucks for the long haul.
I mean, if your going to trade every two years, then a diesel is good enough.

OK Brother welcome to the official BSEG club... remember the motto "Ten Burning, Four Turning!"
Post up a good signature and some idea about location... We like to know what and where info to go with the truck stats. Helps to know terrain, loads, fuel area, and other important info.
Also welcome to FTE.... you already know what a great resource this site is... add to the knowledge base, by being an active contributer.
