Dennis Carpenter will sell you a nice chrome vented cap. They also have nice locking vented caps, which I use, since I take my truck everywhere. I'd be pretty wary of parking my truck on my college campus with no locking cap.

Hmmmmmm, why would you Want to Vent Petrol Fumes Into the Cab of your truck?
Try e-Bay, as Sellers there have Vintage Vented Locking Petrol Caps all the time & usually for a lot better price than Any professional Parts Dealer can sell it to you for.

It is important to run a vented cap as the vent is supposed to have a rubber flap that closes to keep the gas in the tank should you wind upside down in the ditch. However, once when I had a painted non-vented cap that matched the truck I drilled a 1/32 hole in an area that didn't show.

It worked as a vent, never had any problems - but I always keep the shinny side up on that truck.
