Question mass. inspection?

does antone know in mass. do they go by the year of the vehicle or the engine for insp. i am putting a 4.6 in my 54 f-100 and didn't know if i will have to install a cat. conv.

I have never done this but I believe they just go by the year. If it didn't come with a Cat then you don't need it.

Yep it goes by the year, you could put anything on with straight pipes and youll be fine.

Install a high-flow cat to be 50-state legal.
