third brake light

I have a third brake light I wanna mount. I tried to use the wires on the light in the back but got a brake light and a signal on one then the other is for tail light only. Do I have to go straight to the pedal or is there a short cut connection. ...TR

It may require one of those common-bulb system logic adapters. You could probably run a wire straight from the brake light switch instead and see if that works... or spend the 5-10 bucks on the logic adapters.

I'm also considering buying / mounting a 3rd brake light for safety and insurance purposes... but I'd like one I can bolt/screw into the top of the liftgate, instead of a stick-on one
