New Chapter leader of NorCal

Just wanted to introduce myself, I was just elected Chapter Leader for the Northern California Chapter. I could sure use your ideas and suggestions on how to make the chapter more active.

We have several members in the Reno area - I hope we do not loose them when the Nevada Chapter starts up. Hopefully they will join both chapters, I know I will as I spend a lot of time in Nevada.

One thing we will be doing is holding a week long chapter event in Reno during their "Hot August Nights" celebration. It is a big event in the classic car and hot rod world. If there are members of other chapters attending this event, perhaps they could join us?

We will be booking motel rooms and campgrounds and the more people we have the better group rate we can get.

Anyway, if you have any suggestions I could sure use the advice.

It will be held July 29 - August 6, starting on a Saturday and ends on Sunday of the following weekend.

Check it out at http://www.hotaugustnights.net/. There is not a lot of information yet on the 2006 event schedule, but you can see what was there last year. I know there will be a big auto auction mid week.

All times are GMT -5. The time now is 07:34 PM.
