clutch time

I'm going to tackle the replacement of my stock clutch with a solid mass upgrade. LUK is about $100 less than Southbend and the best price I found was at blackclouddiesel for the Luk. Is the southbend that much better or is it personal prefrence and is there any other places with good prices?
2nd. Any tips about the change itself is appriciated. What tools are needed? is there a site that will help the do it your selfer? Thanks

ive had both and the sb has a more consistant feel and will engage at higher rpms. the luk works real good nothing wrong with it. it just wont hold the horsepower in my truck.

basic hand tools, and a TRANNY JACK!!

If you are below 350 HP the LUK works great. IMO it is a matter of personal preference if you aren't making huge power.

I bough a cheap little harbor-freight tranny jack see here that, to me, is worth it's weight in gold. Made the clutch job an easy one man deal. Of course, easy is a relative term.
