Unhappy remove headlights on a 99 Ranger?

I bought some new black headlights that I am trying to install, but cant get the old OEM headlights removed? Ive tried every tool I have, but the pins have these stupid clips over them that I cant get out of the way to unscrew the bolt-ish thing holding it in (I'm a total newbie, can you tell )...

Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks!
Brandon

If necessary, adjust the headlamps. For additional information, refer to Headlamp Adjustment—Photometric Aiming or Headlamp Adjustment—Screen Method Aiming.

I just used a right angled pick. Put it on one side and pull until it comes us alittle, then switch sides until you get it off. The C-Clips are surprisingly easy once you get them off. Be very careful! My first time I broke 3 of them. They go for $4 a piece at the stealership. I put them back on with a flat blade screwdriver. Push down on both sides until you get it on.
