Yeah, they use to do the same thing around my area in East Mesa, over in a Kmart parking lot (always open). Over on Lindsay and Main.

There were hardly any cars there, so thats probably why they stopped.

I am visiting a friend in Chandler on the week of Aug 8th-15th or so
I have been to the greater PHX area two years ago and stayed in Scottsdale at the ORANGE TREE GOLF RESORT, staying there agin when I come next month.
I am a former Toyota Tacoma owner and will be visiting my fellow Toy taco friends who I met when I last visited, but would really look forward to meeting up with fellow FTE members and SD owners !!!!

Right on man, we really havent started a "club" or anything, but anyone is welcome to come.

Maybe we can make this pavilion meeting a monthly thing... We will see how it goes on the 22nd.

 

Hey Im new to this site, but Im down for a meet. Ive only been on this site for about 10 min and dont know how its run but on another forum I was on, there was alot of participation with meets, and we would go out to an area, meet with everyone, hang out and talk and take some pics of everyones truck together. Pavilions is a cool place, just gets really packed, I would think its better if we went somewhere, where it was just us and we get to talk and take pictures or whatever, but its just an idea. But Im down to go just let me know.

Well what kind of place were you thinking of?

 

It was a GM forum. I myself went to the Pavilions and it was ok, but they recently had a meet in like Fountain Hills, looked like maybe a spot in the mountains, you could see the city in the background. the pics came out real nice. Theres also been meets at the Phoenix Zoo because of the size of the parking lot. Anywhere really where theres alot of room and a nice background.

 

Yeah, fountain hills sounds nice. It has to be at or close to night though since its so hot outside. I wont be at the pavillions this saturday, but those who go, take pics and lemme know how everything went.

 

i went online and found these events. all ford classic car show sept 15-17 at Cardinals Stadium in Glendale. 602-379-0102 also saturday nights at Spectrum Mall 1703 W Bethany Home Rd 623-878-3438

 

so what came of this meet? I have my truck listed for sale but if it doesn't reach the reserve I'll be taking it to Phoenix on the10th when I move. Would love to meet others and maybe get some tips for tunning my carb.
