Question Slow Fuel Gauge on 2005 F250 SD

Any other new F250 owners with Fuel Gauges that moves very slowly? Meaning going to diesel station with 1/4 tank, fill tank, and the fuel gauge take nearly 30 min to show full. Is this normal? I am assuming not.

If you leave the ignition on while refueling, the gauge will come up real slow. This will also happen if you have it in the accessory position (such as listening to the radio with the engine off). The fuel gauge level is averaged to prevent your gauge from jumping up and down when the fuel sloshes around in the tank. If you shut the ignition off while refueling, it should come up right away when you start the truck.

Thnx Del. Well the ignition is turned off with key out. After refueling I start 6.0 up and the fuel level stays to where it was and moves so slowly that it may take an hour. I may just have a bad float...damn.

My truck did the same thing, eventually got to the point where it would take several hours to register correctly. Took it to dealer, they replaced fule level swith in tank. They told me it was a common occurance.
