Let's talk trucks
How is everyone's truck doing? Any new plans for your truck or how are current projects going?
I thinking about updating the shocks on the F-150 either bilsteins or edelbrock. The Ranger is still for sale just no takers yet. I'm hoping to use the money from the Ranger to do a few things to the F-150. I could trade them both in on a new one, but I don't think they would give me what I want for either one.

My 01 explorer has just gotten gas and driven for a long time.
My 56 f-100 is in the planning stages until I get some cash coming in again. I need donor parts!
I did get a new toy the other day. The jack I have had, but the other is new.
I will post in the FS/WTB thread when I get some cash for parts.

Well, my ol' beast is just being kept going, repairs as necessary, nothing serious yet, darn heater core is going to have to be done AGAIN... at least it is an easy job... The Cummins project is coming along as I can, geting pretty close to firing it up, gotta get the shifter taken care of, and some final wiring issues, exhaust, and then see what happens. Then the old 77 just sits and waits....

The Father of a friend of mine is having an acquiantance rebuild his (non-Ford, sorry!) truck and my friend gave me the name and number of the guy doing it. He's a hobbyist but from the pictures I've seen it appears he does a terrific job. If I ever get my truck back I hope I can talk to this guy and see if he's interested in tackling it.
As far as anything actually happening with my truck at the moment, again

tshannahan, the quick n dirty list (once it gets running good again) is bodywork and interior. I've lost count of how many times I've thought "OK, it's running good and reliably so now I can get the bodywork started." I'm about to bite the bullet and see about getting the engine and tranny rebuilt and hope that would ensure reliablility. Probably should get the rear axle serviced too, who knows what condition the internals are... The big problem with that is finding someone good who would tackle a flathead -- yeah, I'm too much of a coward to tear it apart in my garage.
