Question starter relay

i have a problem with my starter not turning over fast enough, now is my relay exposed to put out 12 volts on the output with a low current flow or high current flow. or a low voltage with high current?

This belongs in another forum, but, what Year, Model, and Engine?

Generally speaking, your relay is suppose to "pass through" the full voltage and amperage of the battery. Disconnect the cable going to the starter, at the relay, and take your measurements on the relay terminal. No more then probably a .1 voltage drop. Reattach the starter cable and then measure at the end of the cable to make sure the cable is good.
