2000 Exp belt squealing...

I just replaced the belt in June 2005...probably have about 12k miles on the belt...90k on the vehicle...My wife called me on her way to work to tell me that the belt was squealing (she knows to call me when she hears something odd)...so I am wondering what else besides the belt should I be looking at for the source of it slipping?...If I take the belt off what should the pulleys "feel" like to tell me they're in good/bad shape...

thanks
Doug

It could be the tensioner pulley. Fairly common repair. Once you have the belt off, make sure all the pulleys spin freely and don't make any noise.

Also make sure the tensioner arm actually returns to it's original position. I just had one freeze up on me. And there are no fluids getting on the belt.

could be cam shaft sensor stuff. My 2000 has 91,000 miles and I thought the belt was slipping or something, it was the cam shaft sensor.
