Hey Larry...about your 69 F100...

I was just looking at some pics of your Baby blue/white '69 and it took me back to high school real quick. If you put yours and the one I had in the same parking lot you'd have to pay attention to get in the right one!

Mine was a 71. It had your top color on the bottom, and an even lighter baby blue (almost white) on top. It had chromed Crager SS wheels, with white letter 60's on the back and 70's on the front. The engine was a customized 390. That ol' truck held it's own VERY well, even against some of the muscle cars we hear so much about. Seeing yours made me miss it all over again.

I don't think I have any new pictures with the old alum slots on it? Not that it was done recently, but most of the old pictures I have had the Am. racing CP200's on it. I really liked those wheels, but I shattered the rears one summer. Cracked them all the way around the bolt pattern after I put a set of M/T Sportsman PRO's on it. I then switched it over to slots 4" frt and 10" rear.

I had a twin running around maybe 10+ yrs ago. I never saw it but had been told by numerous people that I was out driving somewhere I never was..>LOL!!

The first 428(i bought it complete) I put in was a mild version and it ran pretty good. In the early 90's it would take care of most stock mustangs pretty easily on the street. I had a buddy that ran me one night in front of the WHOLE world(gearheads in the parking lot) and I had him by a couple car lengths...until he flipped on the NOS! CHEATER!!!!! was all I yelled! He told me he was NOT going to be seen being stomped by a pickup truck. Ahhh, the good ol' days!

It's pretty cantankerous to drive with the spool, stiff clutch and little tires up front(doesn't turn well), but would not sell it for nothing! I've had it near 20yrs now....gawd doesn't time fly.
