Oil Leak
I'm hoping that someone out there might be able to help me with some problems I am having with my truck. I have a '99 F150 with the 4.6L V8. The truck has less than 40,000 miles on it. Ok here is the problem I am having. About 2 months ago I notice some small oil drops underneath my truck. Each drop was no bigger than a dime, and I wasn't noticing any oil loss when I checked my fluid levels. I kept noticing more oil on the ground so I took the truck to a local mechanic. After checking out the truck he told me that the rear crank seal was leaking and would need to be replaced. Turns out he replaced both the rear crank seal and the front transmission pump seal. So now here, I am, 1 and half months and about $650 later, and the truck has started doing the same thing again. I can see the oil is running down the passenger side of the engine where the engine and transmission are bolted together. Can anyone possibly give me any ideas as to what is wrong with my truck? Has this ever happened to any of you? Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Mike
