Does it really make any difference?
I have an IDI or is it ROBS (Really Old Body Style) and I still read the OBS, NBS and 6.0 forums when I have time.

But having them seperate does let me go to where I know all the stuff for each motor is. After all, the IDI's have been seperate from the rest of the diesels for a long time.

I love that. That means the guys with the gigantor grill have the RNBS.

Well we can both be glad we don't have MOPAR (Miscellaneous Obsolete Parts Assembled Recklessly)

What can I say, I work with a bunch of Smart A_ _es, half of them drive Dodges, guess it does rub off on ya.

Man, I hope it comes off with Brillo pads.

Interesting that it's been 99-03 guys in here answering them.

This is your section (94-97 guys), and we can make it as good as you want it to be. If you have an idea for the section get with me and we'll see what we can do....but it is not going back to the way it was.

There are more 94-97 owners here than any other site I've seen. But that not withstanding, a smaller group make for better camaraderie between the members...for those of us that hang out here for more than just truck tech.

I posted that because a few members had noted some concern about the loss of the knowledge base being seperated from the 99-03 guys. I was merely pointing out that it doesn't seem to be happening.

My thoughts exactly... but gotta play the hand that's dealt you I guess. There are still a lot of guys with a lot of knowledge on the new forum.

Wait I am not a 99 to 03 guy, I am an 86 guy.

Craze,
You think it it is tough getting parts for the 94 to 97 trucks, try getting stuff for an 86.
We are to the point we just make what we need, no use looking for new parts.

97F350,

i dont check this forum on a daily basis but i do drop in every few days to see if there is any good info i can pick up or maybe someone i could possibly help. but in the few times i have dropped in i have noticed you seem bitter towrds the idea of having the forum split. i agree with you there wont be AS much info as there was but its only a couple of extra clicks of the mouse to switch b/t OBS and S/D forum. whats the big deal? obviously its not going to change... do you really feel we need a fluff thread about whether or not we like the way ken and his staff run this site?

dont get me wrong i am not trying to start anything and i am in no way being hostile.... but we all know how you feel and most of us prolly feel the same, but wouldn't it be better and more productive to keep focus on diesel? i feel ppl in OBS forum may not be getting help or opinion by voting on your polls or reading your "i think split forums suck" posts!

sorry, this is just MY opinion

WELL to be honest with you i am over it. i dont really care either anymore. i just kinda sucks not too many posts in here as you can see. but i 2 have been cruizing up to the sd forum. i just liked it the old way because that is what made fte different from some other forums i am apart of. oh well. i know all i need to work on my truck or if not i know where to find it. as far as i am concerned dan or scott can close this thread. and to anybody else please dont post anymore in this thread. it's obviously a waste of time....no offense taken btw.
