I read everything the Dallas Morning News had about the Hurricane this morning. we are much better prepared than LA was. they've already declared it an emergency and Texas as a Disaster area. 5,500 Nat. guard are already here and positioning helecopters and equipment. I don't know everything about preperation for a hurricane, and I reckon there might be more we could do. but I think we're pretty well prepared as we could be.

It makes you wonder about all of those old sci-fi novels about weather control, doesn't it?

That thing went from a Category 1 to a Category FIVE in less than twelve hours, and it still has several hundred miles of incredibly-warm Gulf of Mexico water to cover before it hits land. The pressure continues to drop, which can only force the winds up, which are already at a sustained 165 MPH. Folks, I'm predicting this will be the worst hurricane to ever hit North America. God's speed to anyone in its path...

North America???..predicting it will hit North America??? I hope it hits Mexico!
Keep that storm away from us at all costs!!! Can't we drop nuclear bombs in the eye of the storm to stop this crap. I think we better start dropping some bombs, 3 50 megaton bombs....3 billion dollars and some radioactive fallout...Hurricane into Galveston ...another 50 billion gone.

It has all the earmarks of a prime porker.
But where will it strike? It WILL curve north, it can't help it.
