A/C problems 2005 F-150

I just bought a new F-150 3 months ago..I now have only 900 miles on it .Ihave taken it to a dealer 2 times same dealer ...My problem is it only blows at 46 degrees at the vents on low fan speed... I tried this at nite outside temp 75 Degrees and also in the day time when yes it's very hot 100 degrees.. I was told by the dealer that due to my cab size (SC) and coloer (black) this was the best I could expect.. Come on I have owner 4 prior trucks that u could hang meat in the cab A/C was just plane cold.. I called ford's 800 # and they said they could do nothing..I requested from the dealer to speak to the Ford rep and was told he didn't have to talk to me... Finally the ppl at the 800 # told me that if I returned with the same problem tha tI would be charged and the warranty would not cover my complaint.. Funy thing about this is that even the service manager admitted there had been many complaints from owners on this A/C problem..What am I to do I am paying good money for this truck and I and not happy about this problem..I mech I know there said he thought it had something to so with the emmissions to meet the gov guidlines..he said if Ford provided the software they could lower the temp setting.. I know for a fact that the compressor is cycling at the temp stated above all the time wheather or not the fan is run on high or low setting ....Please help me here where do I turn no one from Ford will call me... Thank to all in advance thhat try to help me

well it is time to find another dealer. 46 on the low setting is ok. but what is it on max air power setting number 4. it should be 34-38. it all depends on the humidity. i would also check the a/c pressure.

When fan is moved to the high (4) position it raises to 50-55 degrees... this is driving the truck on the freeway @ 65 MPH day or nite........

ok well then it sounds like it has a low charge. it needs ot be 35psi on the low side. anything higher or lower is bad.

The compressor on-time isn't controlled by a timer. It is controlled by pressure switches. If either the high-side pressure becomes too high, or the low-side too low, the compressor will cut off.

FWIW: I had a similar problem with the wife's '05 SCrew. I read here that some trucks apparently received less than a full charge at the factory. Got the truck back from the dealer yesterday -- invoice said the system was "a little low"; checked for leaks; none found; system evacuated and recharged; now at proper fill. Appears to be cooling properly now; we'll see on the next hot day.

lemon law
The lemon laws isn't just for the drivetrain, its the whole truck, radio included.

take it back a couple more times and if they can't get it to 38 degrees they can buy it back

The heater door is leaking air is the most likely source.
clamp off the heater hoses and test it.
