Water in fuel

Water in fuel
Twice since I recently aquired my 2002 F350, the water in fuel light came on.
Once the truck is shut off and turned back on, the light does not come back on.
I'm sure I need to drain the fuel/water separator, but I can not find it.
I looked in my Owners Manual supplement for the 7.3 PSD, and it shows it on the passengers side of the block.
From what I can tell it looks like it's above the cross member, over the front axel.
Would Ford actuall locate this in such a difficult place to reach?
Maybe I'm looking right at it and don't realize it, do you have any suggestions, a picture, or reference point I can use?
Thanks for the help.

Your fuel filter drain lever is yellow and located under the fuel filter/regulator assemby. The fuel filter/regulator assembly is located under the black plastic Powerstroke cover.
You can access the lever wihout removing it as it is behind the regulator facing towards the firewall and is tucked slightly under the filter/regulator assembly.
The lever rotates left to right. HERE is a link that illustrates the filter/regulator and its location, etc. Scroll to "Section 13", "Fuel Filter" and "Removal".
I recommend that you go ahead and change the filter while you're at it.

Cobratodd,
What HeatStroked said.
Also, here is a color pic of mine showing the fuel drain lever. The drain tube for it runs down the front side passenger side of the engine and ends a few inches above the cross member. Some have added a hose and clamp to direct the drain output to an easier to collect point so as not to spill fuel all over the cross member and wherever else after that...

Gentlemen,
Thank you for the info, while not exact for my 97 F250 7.3D, the tab was yellow. I should let you know this is my first post, so I don't know how to get the picture of mine into this message for the next guy.
Can someone tell me how much water they have drained? I drained about half a cup, but the light stays on. I changed the filter before draining, does this mean I wasted a filter, and need to get another?
