1987 Ford F150 Starter Switch

My 1987 5.0 Litre F150 has a starter switch problem. Something in the tilt steering wheel is broken as key switch acts like it is not connected to anything and of course nothing comes on when turning the key. Is this a complicated thing to fix? Mike

I had a similer problem on my 1988 F150. If you open up your steering column you'll find a little aluminum bar connected to the switch (kind of hard to explain) I had a hard time finding this part but found one at a junkyard from a recently wrecked bronco. If you find the bar I am talking about you can just push it in to start your truck until you find the new part, but of course so could anyone else!

Good luck
