Question Master Cylinder Pressure Switch 2003

I have an 03 F-150. I'm concerned about the M/C pressure switch leaking and causing a fire like many have in earlier models. Should I swap this switch out, just in case? Has anyone else swapped it to avoid failure? I know a new one can fail as well. I did a search but did not find the answer, so I hope I'm not repeating a topic. Thanks Any infomation is appreciated.

If you look at yours, it should be pointed upward. The older models had theirs pointing down. While this won't totally fix the problem, it should make it a lot less likely to leak.

Thanks 92 merc, I was not aware that the switch was mounted in a different location on the previous models. That is very good info. and makes good since. Yes, Mine is mounted on top. Also, the design change tells me Ford realized the problem.
