1960 F100 Body on a 1987 F150 Frame???

Has anyone done this,..
My brother has a 1987 longbed singlecab F150 with a 300 I6 EFI.
I have a 1960 F100 longbed Custom Cab with no engine/tranny.
Both vehicles are miles apart and I cant compare the specs of the two.
Anyone have any specs such as wheelbase and what not on a 1960 F100 that may help me with my info quest?

Any help/suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Welcome aboard! I'm not too familiar with the 1957-1960 "Fridge" years so I can't give you much help with dimensions and such. We have a pretty good group of folks, though, some of which are real whizzes with that truck series. They'll be along to help you out shortly.

There have been a number of discussions concerning grafting a body on a different chassis. The consensus used to be that it was a lot of work and not for the faint of heart. Recently, however, a couple members have completed the swap and seem to have things working fairly well. I hope they drop by and give you some feedback.
