Whats your favorite shotgun.
I shoot a old 1100 Remington most of the time. Its been modded to fit me & it has a hastings barrel & a custom 3&1/2 lb pull trigger.I use it for clay target shooting & upland birds. It my favorite of all my 12 guages.I have a Browning Gold 3&1/2 hunter I use for ducks & turkey. Its a good gun but it doesn't like light loads. I use a 870 wingmaster 20 guage for small game. Whats your favorite?

Far and away my favorite - Remington 1100 Magnum (12 ga.). I have a 24" Hastings barrel with a BUNCH of choke tubes. Factory barrel is 30" 'Full' choke, but, after checking with an accurate gauge, it is actually choked 'Extra Full'.
(Barrel is no good for game, except geese, when I bought it. Steel shot 'nixed' that.)
I haven't put the 30" barrel on this shotgun in 18 years. The 24" barrel is THAT good.
This shotgun is like it's a part of me. It fits.
Next - Remington 870 Wingmaster (12 ga. Magnum). Factory 26" with choke tubes. Hastings 26" 'Heavy Target' rifled slug barrel for deer.
Next - Beretta Silver Pigeon O/U 12 ga. 26" barrels with choke tubes. Incredible shotgun.

I have a closet full of the high dollar scatterguns from the Brownings on up. My favorites would be the Winchester Red Label single shot oldies. They shoot better than the newer stuff, never a malfunction, they don't care if it is high brass or low velocity handloads, they just work. Kinda fun when going with the guys and they pull out their prized guns and I come out with one of these. Doubts about their ability soon are gone when I out shoot them and use less ammo and I am the one doing the most laughing.

Many years ago I took my teenager son to update his beginner shotgun, a 20 Ga. single. I bought him a Remington 870 pump in 12 Ga. Naturally, since I was in the store, I also bought myself an 1100 12 Ga. He is now 40 (and has numerous guns), but every year the first weekend in September finds us shooting doves with those same, very dependable, old guns. Both still look and shoot like new.

I have a Mossberg 500A shotgun 3" mag 12 gauge. With a 22" slug barrel, and a 26" and a 28" shotgun barrel with a wide variety of chokes for each. I have used it extensively to hunt in PA New York, Germany and France. I won 23 out of 30 turkey's at our church turkey shoot. This gun will go to one of my boys in a few years. I love it and as far as shotguns go, I will definately be buying another Mossberg.
