muffler

I had a thrush turbo muffler on my truck for a little while but found it was too quite, almost stock, but just a tad louder, didnt like it and took it off.

I ran straight pipes off the cat for about a year, then decided to make a change and I put a cherry bomb glass pack on her. Changed the sound alot, eliminated the popping back on decel and more mellow, but still nice.

yeah thrush is too quiet. i have a hooker terminator on mine and its still too quiet. iwas thinking about going to flow master, but a friend of mine said dont waste your money they rust out too fast, and this guy was a true flow master guy. till he found out about V-force. he says iv had these muffler on my car for 2 years and they sound just like flowmaster and they dont rust out. best of allthey cost half of what flowmasters cost. he says you can get them at any rainbow muffler shop. and yes they do sound damn good just like flowmaster.

I had one on a 96 Ram 4x4 318. Deep rumble, picked up a bit @3k RPM. Not bad, hell it cost $20

Take a 2" pipe and put it through your second cat with a hammer. You'll pick up quite a bit up top, and no check engine light. But it's not much louder, I run gutted cat with a Thrush and I think it's too quiet, but for $20 bucks, give it a shot!

I used to have a Thrush. I won't buy another one. They are not fully welded and that hurts durability. The inlet and outlet will start leaking after a while, and after a while more they will start rattling. I took mine off after 15k-20k miles because of that.

I have a walker downpipe, efi mani's, straight back to a thrush turbo, and out the back. I like it, but I don't need all the cool noise as it's just my plow bronco. I have sound and video, but no way to really put it on here.

Hell, why even bother welding it, if it rots off or blows, then your out 20 and save your welding material.

I've had mine for three years with no issues. I'm in Texas so no road salt.
