Sorry bout that Fredvon4. I was just teasing. I have a 99 4x4 crew shortbed with a powerdyne centrifigal supercharger. I have the 9 psi pulley. That is a great way to go. The truck is so much faster, and agile. I'm very glad I bought it. The powerdyne is a great blower for under 3000 bucks. It is also very quiet. No one knows I have a supercharger until I tell them. I feel that this is the only way to go with the superduty's. I will most likely upgrade to a larger supercharger when I swap out the 99 heads for some 2000's.

What I find interesting is KenneBells info on modifications they have tested for all the modular Fords(check the FAQ,s part of their website). The jist of their testing says that they have found that only programmers/chips or superchargers make any difference at all in the dyno numbers. So save your money for these 2 items and dont waste it any where else...It IS quite interesting reading it guys.Form your own opinion..

I read a magazine that did a dyno on a 2002 V-10 before installing these.

If I remember correctly. The horsepower was 220. After installing the JBA Shorty Headers, they put it back on the dyno and it showed 238 horsepower. So, I dont believe Kennebell. Numbers don't lie!

Yes Skipper there probably is a lot of truth to these companies all looking out for themselves unfortunately.. I guess I should make clear one point that KB was trying to make ..His main point was that on the V10 Ford ,all the exhaust headers came at the expense of lower rpm torque loss.So I should have stated that more clearly..Sorry bout that..

Hi, Just wondering if you are having any issues with "blowing plugs". Seems like if under normal load the sucker can't keep plugs in the head a SC would make the problem worse. But on the other hand might help blow the threads out the hole as the plug blows. I just for the word yesterday.. I just blew 2 plugs .. time for a new head.

The kind that a supercharger is sitting behind. Honestly, you might get a little bit of power with a k&n, as well as drilling some holes in the bottom of the air box, but I would avoid the hassle and pick up a blower. These are big trucks, and little mods like that do not really give much of a noticeable gain. I used to have a k&n cone filter on my truck. It made my truck a little louder, and I'm pretty sure it helped my mileage a little, but to me it was not worth the time and money. When I bought my s/c, I recieved a k&n cold air kit with it. Best money I have ever spent. I hope this helps!

If you are truly looking for performance 5star tuning seems to be the way to go.
