Flaming cruise control switch on Mazda B-series also?
Does anyone know if the faulty cruise control switches that are used on the Rangers are also used on the B-series Mazda trucks also, or does Mazda use a different switch?
I have a 2000 Ranger, and know what I have to do, but my buddy has a Mazda B-4000 of the same vintage.

If I'm not mistaken, they should be the exact same. Someone may correct me on this though! I'm personally not real freaked out about this whole switch thing. Both of my Rangers have it, as does my wife's car. If Ford sends me a recall notice, I'll take it in and get it fixed. The media tends to blow things out of porportion (see CNN) !

I have a '98 B3000 Automatic. As everyone on this forum knows, the Mazda is a Ranger with better looking sheet metal. Everything under the hood says 'FORD'. Having said that, I read every post on the CNN thread and I find nothing as described there. The only wire on my MC is the one on the reservoir. I have a fitting on the inboard side of the MC that has a rubber cap on it, but that can't have been it because my cruise works just fine. The only thing I found that I can't identify is a valve or control module on the left inner fender that the brake line closest to the booster goes into and then exits the other side and goes down under the truck. I'm guessing it has something to do with the ABS, but I really don.t know. Other than that, I've found nothing!!
