6.0 and water in fuel

6.0 and water in fuel
I have just purchased a 2005 F250, Supercab 6.0 PowerStroke
4X4 Lariat and have a few questions about the 6.0 diesel.
I have done all my own automotive for years, but never owned a diesel
The manual talks about draining water out the fuel filter when the warning
on the dash tells me. I have found the 2 fuel filters, the one on top of the engine and the one in the frame under the drives door, but I can not find the petcock or valve on the one of the frame to drain any water out. I do not have any water but in case it happens I would like to be able to do it.
I have also bought the grey bottle of Diesel Kleen and was wondering if I should start using it or wait until I have some miles on my truck, I have only 600 right now.
Thanks,

The drain on the filter on the frame is a 6mm hex head screw. You'll need to come at from over the pipe unless you have an extremely short allen wrench (the small side). I drained about 3-4 oz. of fuel out of mine but a few days later the water in fuel light came back on then went back off. I guess I'll drain it again if it comes back on and stays on. Just be careful to not let fuel drain down your arm and ruin your day! Take care and good luck.

I have it drained at the dealer when I have my oil changes. In 12,000 KMS I have never had the water light come on and had no more than a couple of ounces of water/diesel come out. Maybe I have been getting great fuel. So far I have not used and additives? Those doing it themselves be careful not to crossthread or strip the hex screw. It seems to be fragile. d
