Driveline/Rear end noise

Can't say I've ever heard of aluminum drivelines make a howling noise.
To many aluminum beer cans can make you howl.
Is the noise constant?
Is it worse when accelerating or deccelerating?
And I know this makes me sound like a broken record but have you checked your U joints? 99.9 % of all drivetrain noises and vibrations are caused by bad U joints. And it seems to be the last thing that gets checked.

you may be on to something. I did not check the u-joints! My father in law suggested it and I said "no way!" But now that you mention it maybe he was right. Asw far as the beer cans that too can make you howl! I prefer my own homebrew in a bottle though. Thanks for the info. I am just trying to rule out a rear end or transmission prob. The sound coincides with the ground speed.
